Illegal Immigrants
I wanted to blog this so that I can remember it later on.
Leviticus 19:33-34 ‘And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

with the Presidential ballots flying around the US right now, and immigration a HOT topic, this is something to think about….
does this apply to every country or just to the Jewish people in the Promised Land?

In a weird way, I think God further elaborates here in what He will say later on in Matthew 22:39 ‘… You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ and I John 4:7-8 ‘…let us love one another…”.
This passage was definitely aimed at the Jewish people but I like to think that what was good enough for them is certainly good enough for this Gentile.
In other words, that passage falls more in line with God has said throughout His word. Somehow, I don’t see the whole thought of “all of these illegal immigrants need to be rounded up and shipped out of MY COUNTRY!!” really syncing up with Bible. Not a scholar so I could be wrong.

Isn’t amazing that Republicans and Christians are comprised of mainly older Whites? Shocking that they would want to run anyone of colour out of “their America”, yet will be in for the ultimate shocker when it comes time to go to their favourite restaurant, only to find out that there is no kitchen help there to prepare their foodstuffs. Slumped shoulders en masse.
