I had a friends mom I met a couple of times. When I became a christian 5 years later, I saw her and she told me she had been praying for me for years and I hardly knew her. I too have been moved to tears because of what you went through, but more because of how awesomely powerful God is! Sometimes when I am leading, I wonder what is really going on in people's lives and what they are struggling with and why God has actually allowed me to minister. Because I have certainly sinned. Time and time again I am amazed at the fact that when we give everything (emotions, past, hurts, anxieties, future, mind, will) to God, He can turn our disgusting lives around and end up helping someone else. You have a testimony of where you have been and what God has brought you through. But glory to God, you have a testimony not yet written! Brother, do not be surprised if God gives you the opportunity to speak, to preach to the lost, the lonely, the downtrodden. Even to the religious who have deep secret sins they are afraid to talk about. That was me, that was my husband. We both had problems with pornography. Me before marriage, him before and during marriage. God has done MIRACULOUS things in our marriage and we actually talk about stuff. He tells me if he feels tempted and I tell him my struggles. It was so hard to get to this place...but so worth it! When God sends you the right woman, even with what you have done in the past, and even what may be in hers, hold on to Him and watch Him transform you even more than you can imagine. If you ever feel condemned and Satan tries to tell you have no right to minister to other people...just remind him that you are forgiven...cast into the sea of forgetfullness. He is the one who should be afraid of the future...not you! Praise be to God for the victory! God is on the throne!
